September 4th — DFW CAF 2010 Warbirds on Parade

Annual event at Lancaster Airport. The Cold War Air Museum joins the DFW Commemorative Air Force wing for its open house and fly-in with multiple aircraft on display.

July 31st — Cleburne Municipal Airport

Cleburne, TX

June 25th, 26th — Ada Air Expo

CWAM sent its Mi-2, Mi-24 and 7 volunteers to Ada, Oklahoma for the Annual Ada Air Expo. The event was well attended by the locals and the host's hospitality was, as usual, great! The theme of the show this year was to honor 100 years of women in aviation. Many female pilots performed aerobatics. In addition to a number of aerobatic performers, the show included numerous R/C aircraft demonstrations, skydivers, gliders, formation flights, and AcroRace Aerobatics.

June 20th — Fathers Day at Lancaster Airport

The museums will be open 11AM to 5PM for Father's Day. Several hundred people attended the open house event last year.

June 11th to 13th — Summer Balloon Fest at Midway Airport

Nearby Midway airport is home to the Summer Balloon Extravaganza. Visit the Summer Balloon Classic web page for current information and schedule. CWAM sent a Chang, Mi2 and Mi24 to Midway for static display.

May 8th — Corsicana Fly-in

CWAM sent Mi-2 helicopter bord 211 and a CJ-6 to Corsicana By all estimations, the event was well attended and a great success. In a completely unplanned happenstance, the newly flying Mi-24 made its first non-Lancaster appearance when it landed in Corsicana to drop off freshly charged batteries for the Mi-2.

April 24th — 99's Significant Other group tour

CWAM was very happy to host the spouses of the 99's at the Lancaster Museum.

Any group wishing to arrange for a private tour or the use of our facilities for your event should contact Phil.

April 10th — Medal of Honor Fly Over - at Gainesville

The CJ-6 joined other aircraft and hundreds of ground vehicles, in parade, honoring Medal of Honor recipients at this annual event.
